This was the last day of camp this year. This is only 2 of the 8 deer we got in camp this year so we filled up all the freezers. No really big racks this year (since the wives weren't with us :>) but some nice deer none the less.

Wa, MT, Or, Wy?

:yeah: Looks like you had a good year.

Sorry, it's WA GMU 133 north of Davenport. Biggest herd we saw was 32 deer. Thats where I got the 3 x 4 on the left. Modern rifle turned out better on the 2nd weekend since it froze and the boys started going in rut.

We Lease around 3000 acres or so of farm fields and canyon's. That way I've been able to guarantee my boys are safe and have plenty of opportunity to harvest a nice animal. We've filled our all three years we've gone over. For the cost and harvest rate I really encourage guys with kids to try to do it. It's really not as expensive as people think it is and with as short of a season we have it really makes sense to me. I've been blessed with the means to afford it (and kids who love going as much as I do and can shoot straight :>) but I've worked hard for those means. I consider it an investment and would not trade it for the world. I know there are many more deer out there that are HUGE (our biggest was my son's 1st deer that scored a 134 7/8 and put him in the youth record book at 11) but I don't hunt for trophy's, I hunt for the experience and the meat. As I said before the cost is about 1/3 -1/5 of a guided hunt so go talk to the farmers and find somewhere to go just not my farmer :>)

Chuck....nice looking animals. Nice to hear somebody with means use them as you have. Good for you and especially good for you and your boys.
