I was just given two recurve bows. I have never bow hunted so I was hoping you guys could tell me if they were worth keeping around.
1 is a Howatt Monterey 55# @ 28"
The other is a Colt Plainsman 43# @ 28"
They both say 60" below the serial numbers.

I will give you a shiney nickel for each one. how is the condition?
-
A nickel eh? They both appear to be in really good shape, the Monterey is nearly scratch free. The colt has a few small scratches on it, not many though.
-
The monterey is a fine bow, don't know much about the plainsman. If they shoot good for you they are worth keeping for sure. You may just find yourself bitten by the trad bug.

not just a nickel....a shiney one. call the pony express in cda. he has a ton of vintage recurves
