Title: 1st Duck Hunt of 2010
Post by: Goldeneye on December 18, 2010, 04:47:50 PM: Just thought I'd share some photo's of the result of our first duck hunt this year. We are now done with Big game hunting and can turn our attention to waterfowl. Turned out to be a pretty Green day (and very windy). My lab is 11 yrs old and nearly 100% deaf. The old girl reminded me today that it's not all about youth and power out there necessarily. Experience and knowledge worked for finding 3 difficult birds that went down in the thick tulies. She does know her trade very well. This was a westside hunt.

I hope she got some extra puppy cookies at the end of the day. Good lookin' brood of Mallards there too. Congrats

LOL I hear ya... my dad's dog always went ape when she saw a DQ and there was NO passing by without HER getting her ice cream. A lot of laughs circled 'round that dog's antics.

Ya know? I think she could put away two cheese burgers. :chuckle:
