Show starts with first episode tomorrow morning @ 9:00 or 9:30 A.M. on the outdoor channel
The first episode was filmed in Wyoming , This is a whole new concept on filmed predator hunting .
We filmed a show here in washington state back in september , Abner Druckenmiller of FoxPros pro staff came out with the camera crew and we filmed for 4 days on some of my favorite calling ground.
FoxPro pro staff Mike Dillon and Abner Druckenmiller traveled all over the united states and canada and filmed hunts with members of the field staff, its sure to be a great show , You can view the trailer http://www.gofoxpro.com/ (http://www.gofoxpro.com/)
I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it . Jerry .

Wish I got the outdoor channel :'(
Me too :bash:
-
I recorded it and will watch it tonight.

The diff between this and most predator hunting shows is FoxPro is out to show the public the hows and whys of predator hunting .
How to will be covered by field staff members from all over the country and will show a variety of styles and methods, most all of the field staff are doing some type of control work and have diff ways of doing it .
the whys ? FoxPro feels that the general public has no idea why we hunt predators , The show will be showing real time livestock predation and the ranchers will be telling the viewers why predator numbers must be kept in check .
Most people have no idea what it costs a sheep or cattle man when old Wiley comes knocking at the door .
On this show you ll hear the numbers straight from the victims mouth .
You can call me biased if you like but in my op pinion this is going to be one of the best ever put on film , it not only is fun to watch , but explains why we as predator callers are needed.
who knows if the right people watch this it could open a few more areas for some of us .
I know there are a lot of land owners cattle men and sheep ranchers that love to watch the outdoor channel .
I'm proud of FoxPro for doing something diffrent with a hunting show and showing that there is a real need for predator callers .
I hope somehow all of you can see all of the episodes , God Bless , Jerry .

Sounds awesome, Jerry. Wish I had that channel. Any chance they'll come out with some DVDs? I'd love to see some locals, too.
-
The entire series would have to air before any dvd would be available due to copyright issues .
they were going to send me a dvd of our hunt but i was told later that they couldnt send it till after the show airs .
my son was really disappointed but what the hey , he will have a late Christmas present .
he will be in the show we filmed here in washington , i use him a lot when we call , hes little and can sneak out and set the caller in a much stealthier way then i can , and his young eyes are a blessing .
hes also a dang good caller for a 11 year old kid, I have been training him for years , next year he gets to start shooting them full time so watch out boys there is gonna be a new sheriff in town :chuckle:

I just watched it. Gotta say that I am really impressed. I thought that the background info was great and seeing decoy dogs work was a bonus... a definite thumbs up!
-
Awhhh shucks. I do not get that channel.. Will someone PLEASE record it for me and send it to me :dunno:
Thanks...
Randy
-
Got it set up to record now.
Wish I would have seen this yesterday :bash:
-
I wish I could see it as well. Maybe it will be available on line after it has been on TV? Will it be on TV again? I did not see the post until after it was on the air.
-
Interesting, never knew you could use dogs as decoys.
-
I seen that it is on Thursday morning but I did not pay attention to the time, I just set the DVR.
-
On the Outdoor Channel website, they have the show debuting on Thursday Night Dec. 30 at 7:00pm EST. They do this because that is our prime spot. It will actually air 2 days earlier, Tuesday Dec. 28 at 12:30 pm EST, and again Sunday Jan. 2 at 1:00 am EST.
The days and times will remain consistent every week.
-
i just randomly stumbled upon that show yesterday and really enjoyed it, great show.

Thought the show was well done.A lot more entertaining than the standard deer hunt over a food plot.
-
Interesting, never knew you could use dogs as decoys.
If I remember corectly using dogs to hunt coyotes was made illegal here in Washington recently.
-
I missed the first one, but I've got the next airing set on the DVR!

Not impressed with the show. There are hardly any coyotes being shot. No action. I'm going to stop recording it.
-
I have seen two shows so far. There were a few good tips from the guest shooters but not overly impressed with the show. The main shooter does not seem that knowledgeable about it nor that good of a shot for a pro. I was told that Al Morris is working for FoxPro now and will have his own show and signature coyote and elk calls. Maybe he will take this show over.
-
Its nice when you can get a real expert on a show.
-
Take Randy Anderson away from Primos.
-
I watched the show tonight that was filmed in Eastern WA. It made me want to get over there and hunt. I have watched all the shows this season and really like the series, escpecially this time of the year.
Excellent show Jerry, it looked like it was fun to film.
-
I loved the land rover! :chuckle: good show. The last 2 have been my faves so far. OK and WA :IBCOOL:
-
Great episode Jerry... awesome job!
-
I watched it last night off my DVR & was wondering if you were on this site, very cool!
I think the show is good for the amount of knowledge it shares & the amount of "fur down" in one episode is enough to keep me happy any more would be like watching highlights on sports center. I wish the show would talk a little more about the rifles & rounds used, but i understand it is sponsored by a calling device.
Nice to see you got to do some acting during your re-enactment scene!
BTW- What ammo do you use?
-
I just watched the show with Jerry in it. It was the best episode yet. It was interesting to see how Jerry got into coyote hunting. Glad to see that your son got to be on it with you, very nice.
-
I just watched the show with Jerry. I got into coyote hunting basically the same way. Except that the coyotes killed my wifes and daughters dogs. I thinned the coyote herd by another one this week.

Thank you guys , been flat on my back since last sunday , docs dont know whats wrong with me after several tests . Lots of pain in abdomen upper right below ribs , I love docs , they charge a arm and leg and then hand you pain pills and say go home , we dont have a clue . the surgeon said i was a diagnostic enigma.
Any ways ,
Jared and i watched the show and were pleased with the results . I wrote a big long post and just deleted it .
After reading thru the posts on the series I came to the conclusion , you just cant please everybody .
I think the series is pretty good and does a great job of showing the truth about predator hunting .
I really liked the photography , they did a wonderfull job of showing to the rest of the country how beautiful Eastern Washington is.
thanks for watching the show . Jerry .
P.S. Greywolf , I roll my own if you would like the recipe just let me know . ;)
-
Hope you get feeling better Jerry. Was wondering what was up, havent seen you on. I also put a bug in Curt's ear for ya.
-
Get well soon Jerry and go kill some more yotes!!
-
Hi Jerry, I liked your episode much better than the other episodes. Quite cool having your son set the call too. I have a 6 yr old I'm grooming in the same manner, and so far he's doing pretty good and has lots of patience! I would like to see you in some more shows.
-
Thanks Jerry!
Once i get my "Kitchen" up & running, I will have to take up on that recipe :)
I think I speak for everyone when I say, I hope for your speedy recovery & may you get well soon!
-
I liked the show a lot too...
I'm not sure I remember correctly the show, but if I do remember correctly you said your son doesn't hunt because he's not old enough as 12 is the minimum age in WA...
As far as I know that's not the case. I may be thinking of another show. Either way, glad to see he's out there with you. Good show.

It was not me that said that , It was Abner . I was misinformed and when he asked i told him Jared had another year to go . Jared missed his chance at a hunters safety course last year , he Will be all over it this spring :chuckle:
Thanks for the kind words guys , I also thought the Wash. hunt was one of the better shows . The youngsters , thats what its all about , spending some one on one with the sons and daughters .
