decided to do a set this am on an over grown fork in a road..I pulled out my trusty R and R myrtle wood, and went to calling,,, nice and low not to loud.It was thick and about 5 inches of snow..After a few minutes of calling seen this little girl staring at me about 15 to 20 ft.thought about not shooting it,,,but I got over that real quick.put a 22mag in the face and sent her to the other side...

Nice cat Rasbo. I've noticed that the Bobcats I see from western Washington are always dark in color. Is this common over there ? I've only seen 1 near Enumclaw and it was very dark looking too. Are you going to get it mounted ?
I used my RnR call for coyotes yesterday, howler/distrist call, and let me tell you that was loud crisp and clean sounding. I got 5 dogs screaming back at me from 1/2 mile away, no luck though. Good calls

Sweet Jim. ;) cant wait to get up there calling Kittie's. Rick

huntbear, all the cats I shoot have cranial problems from said bullets :chuckle:
not going to mount it I will practice with my necker 600 and do the montana stretch on it.the cat does have some serious fat on it

Very awesome work Rasbo! Congrats buddy.
-
Very cool! Do you get quite a few yotes coming in as well? That's one thing about the wetside, you never know what's going to show up!
-
Very cool. I really want to try get into some bobcat & cougar calling but I am still really new to coyote hunting (and just plain hunting) and they are all I ever hunted before. So rookie question here: What does it mean in the regs when they talk about the "pelt seal" requirements? What does pelt sealing mean? If I shoot a bobcat I have to keep it? When I shoot the yotes I just toss them in the bushes!

Nice cat Rasbo, Congrat's.

Cool! Looks like good performance out of your 22mag!
