Title: Lil bobcat on a log.
Post by: Devinshoe on January 04, 2011, 07:42:44 PM: Thought this was a cool photo of a bob kitty, I was trying to get pictures of deer for archery season and ended up with this kitty and a few moose and a few nice bucks. Thought I would share :)

I was thinking it is just a young one, i think if it was a house cat you would be able to see its foot long tail hanging behind it. But oh well still a cool photo.

Actually, 3-4 miles for a Ferrel cat to rome isn't all that far. I think what's throwing us so much is the shape of the face. The markings are quite varied for kittens. Absense of tail 'in the photo' doesn't mean much since we don't have a broadside shot. It's a tough call with only the one photo. Could be... Might not be...

I've been trying to think of the name of that cat! Thanx. They are not domesticated. Can be very friendly/loving, but man, watch out! They can be mean!

Post by: Devinshoe on January 08, 2011, 01:00:43 AM: Walked up to that same spot today looking for moose paddles. No luck but a lot of moose poop and no cat tracks, hopefully I will have some moose paddles to show next weekend :) I really wish this snow would go away.
