Post by: huntlakewood on January 12, 2011, 08:12:56 PM
I was thinking of making some chicken breakfast sausage.
? is i usually buy the chicken from Costco the boneless skinless thighs that is already frozen. Is it OK to buy that thaw and make the sausage and refreeze it my gut says no but I am not a cook and dint know if I am just being to picky

I wouldn't hesitate. Keep it chilled during the grinding.
If we don't hear from you anymore we will know not to try it :chuckle:

I have done it with turkey

I would worry about it not even a little bit. after it thaws, you are going to introduce ingredients that help it keep, then you will freeze it followed by cooking it. once cooked, if whatever is in there can survive all of that, you will know to take up pheasant hunting.....lol.
