Title: Browning Autoloading Takedown .22 rifle
Post by: jackelope on January 13, 2011, 10:56:09 PM
Anybody know anything about these rifles?
I own 1 and am interested in tracking down some history on them. The one I have is old as dirt, must be Belgium built. I'm working on getting it here from NY, it's about dang time.
I've surfed the WWW, just curious if anyone has any personal experience with them.
Thanks!

I have one my dad bought in 1974 or so. It is Belguim made. It has been a very good rifle, it's light, accurate and easy to clean. The only issue that I ever had with it is it doesn't like softer lead bullets (the old cheapo Federals). It always fired Remmy and Winny just fine. I killed alot of Coons wearing a headlight and shooting it in my younger days. Good gun.
