Got this email from a great high school friend that turned me onto archery elk hunting. These kinds of pictures keep the fire going all off-season for me.
The email stated these photos were taken Wednesday by a Uinta Co. Sheriff when he closed
the road 12 miles out of Evanston while waiting for them to cross!
WOW is all I can say.....quite the sight! :yike:
In the snow.

I've got a buddy that lives down there outside of Evanston and he sent me the same images. I guess they migrate off of a big private ranch in Utah during the winter. I guess it's like $5K to hunt the ranch. There are some hogs in there for sure. Not sure it was 2600, more like 260 - either way there's a lot of bone running around down there.
-
No matter what place that is, that is a ton of bulls  + a lot of them seem to have some good size to them  Very cool pics thanks for sharing.

I've seen them walking single file like that down the railroad tracks in CleElum a couple winters ago. Not that many of course, but it was really cool to see. I wish I would have had a camera with me.

I grew up in Utah and constantly aw scenes like that in the winter. We have seen upwards 0f 600 crossing the road in single file like that. It is truly and amazing site to see. We would also see massive herds of Mulies.
