Title: Nosler CT ballistic silvertips - scarce
Post by: BlackRidge on January 17, 2011, 09:31:44 AM
Found an old box of (.224) ballistic silvertips in the garage last friday, loaded them up and took em to the range to see how they would fare. Turns out they did much better than the V-max/speers I'd been trying. So I go online to order more.... and it looks like everyone is sold out

I know Nosler/Winchester discontinued the bullets a few years ago, then brought them back, but I was surprised to see that literally no one had these in-stock. Does anyone know why? Or a place that may still have a box or two in-stock?

Not sure why, the bigger sporting goods stores that i have went into had some on the shelf. They were both wholesale sports and they had a few cals in those bullets. I shoot them in my 7mm-08's and 25-06. I almost bought a box of the .224 for my 22-250 but my nos b-tips shoot good, so i didn't buy them. I wish that i had, then i could have sent them your way if you need them.
