Tooth info usually takes 9 or 10 months to get back. I don't know about moose, but with the bears they stopped sending out the cards in 2006. You can call and have them look up the age for you, but you won't get a card anymore.

Takes a little over a year.

I contacted them by email a couple months ago regarding the moose my dad killed in '06. The guy I emailed sent me a real nice email back saying that he would forward my email to the correct person who would have the information. Still haven't heard a thing. I guess I should just call the Spokane office. Even then I have my doubts as to if we will ever get an answer on the age of that moose.  :'(

Bob, have you tried calling the general number at the NRB and talked with whatever OA answered the phone? Many times they have access to the db's that have the info. You may need his Wild ID #.

No I have not, but maybe I should try that. I had the name, number, and email address of the biologist for that area at the time of my dad's moose hunt. I talked to him on the phone several months after the hunt and he said that it was still too soon and they didn't have the data yet, and that I should wait another year, then contact him again and he would have the info. Well I waited and then emailed him and he's the one that responded but he is no longer in that district. Supposedly he was going to forward my email on to the new guy but like I said, it's been a couple of months now and nothing.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.

Wow! That's a pretty old bear. Surprising that the moose was only 4 years considering the size.

Great link, my bull moose from 08 was 7 years old and my ram was 5.  I thought the bio said the ram was 6 but close enough.

I just checked that link and found out my moose from 2009 was 5 years old. kinda cool to find that out. Kinda pissed though I think I have turned in 6 or 7 bear teeth and not one was listed in there. Makes me not want to turn in another one.

Very cool. They had my bears prior to 2007 and my mountain lion. My one and only sow, which I still kick myself for, was 11 years old.
