Does anyone make a good 1911 .45acp for around or under $500?

Yep and i got one for sale with a crimson trace grip great gun... look it up and check out the reviews shoots awsome..Its a CITADEL m1911-a1 compact holds 8 and 1

I'm not familiar with the Citadel but with a crimson trace grip that is a great price.

American made and the good thing is all the mech of the gun are comp. with the colt 1911, great gun for the value i bought two but the wife says its to big so we bought the colt 1911 38 super for her.

No, not going to conceal it. I have a Glock 30 for that.

:) Yep it is possible but unless I was buying a stripped model to build I would not. If you are intending to use it "as is" just go buy a Glock.

It was way back in July of 2009, and yep it was a steal of a deal. And nope, it wasn't hot!

i picked up mine for 400$ like new. Bought in 1983, one box of ammo put through it and stored.
my buddy picked up a springfeild lightweight operator for 475 i think from a gun show.

check with the gun dealer there in shelton...Steve's I think its called he has good deals or so I have heard on some of these pistols....

I bought my Taurus PT1911 for $500 new at a Pawn shop. Looked at many reviews and I have run over 1000 rounds w/o an issue.

Not possible unless you find someone that will part with an old used one. Save a couple hundred dollars more, then go get yourself a decent 1911. You wont be happy with anything else. :twocents:
