Title: Advice
Post by: sisu on January 23, 2011, 05:48:41 PM
My brother is having vandalism problems at his house in Mill Creek, WA. So far the police have passed it off as kids will be kids. But he is sick and tired of trying to clean eggs of of his house, cars etc. Is there a trail cam that works at night enough to get good shots of the person(s) doing this activity?
I suggested calling Cabelas and telling them what he needs it for but then I figured I'd ask the real experts. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated. He did want me to come on down to do my sort of justice but that will jsut slam me in jail and get sued.

One idea is that Costco sells video surveillance cams that record close to a month of continuous recording before recording over itself for starting around $600.00. I have purchased a couple of sets of these for different locations. The ones that I bought have 9 cameras and they work day and night. You can look at all of the cameras or any one individually at any time inside of your home. They also can be set so that that you can look at them from other locations via the internet. I feel that these are just another layer of protection along with others. Good luck on catching those a-holes. It is a shame that you have to spend money just to protect what you already have spent money on.

The camera is a great idea but I'm not sure what one takes the best night pic's  :dunno: . Other than that he could wait up at night to catch them and ask them nicely to stop  :nono:  :violent1:  :spank_butt:  :beatdeadhorse:  :boxin:  :pee:    :chuckle: . I'm sure if you ask NICELY they might not come back  :guns:  :dunno: Just sayen .

Thanks I got a PM from a member and my brother joined the site. I sent them both a PM so they can get their heads together.
Ya it is a sorry deal when you can't have peace at your home. He just paid BIG bucks to have his home painted and now he is having problems with this. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Does he have teenagers of his own? There may be more going on here than eggs on the house. I sure hope not but it would be worth talking to his kids if he has any.
