Do you know if it's fish landed by 2 and noon, or if it's checked in by 2 and noon?
My Dad want's to fish this year, but he's said that for several years. Talks more than he gets up and goes! But if he fished, I'd probably go with him. I'd definately be up for a lunch get together then!

Yeah the fish has to be checked into the check in station to count by 2:00 satruday and noon sunday.
I'll be in a boat we named "Middle Finger" give us a shout if you make it out.
Good Luck to you all !!!

This Derby is tomorrow and sunday May 24th and 25th. Anyone want to guess the size of the $5000 fish ??
I'm gonna say 143#

I believe Robodad is going to score this year with a #158 to take the title... Good Luck, bud.... Well nothing like seeing good things happen... Maybe my guess would put me in the running for a slab of Hally....

I will be up there bouncing around. 16 foot Hewescraft with Kasey Kahne #9 on the side.....Usually at least one over 100lbs so I will guess the winner at 127lbs........Les

Well weigh have occurred by now, lets have it, Robodad, how's it looking for the first day of the derby, weather should have just about perfect for you... Secret method working????????
-
Yep my method worked to catch a halibut but it wasn't the one I was after, Top fish after day one is 180# then 113# then 79# to round out the top 3. The smallest on the 30 fish ladder is 41, and if you add 37 lbs to mine I would have beaten the bottom one at least LOL.
Off to bed tonight, I am tired !!! GN

Well today sucked :( We just didn't have a big enough boat to put up with today's weather. There were a few guys that caught some fish and a few of them made the board but not me and the top three mentioned above were the winners, congratulations to them and to everyone that participated, it was fun !!
Maybe next time there will be better fishing weather :'( but that is how it goes, you win some and you lose some !!! :chuckle:

Today was a "BlowOut" for me....never put the Hewescraft in the water. I was Lucky enough to get a 50lb on saturday and rode it out today on land watching every die hard that went out come in hoping they didn't have one over 50 and I held up for 19th place. My partner also got a 20lb saturday so with the filets and a place in the derby I feel extremely fortunate. The PA Salmon club runs a first class derby and all their work was much appreciated..........................Les
