So with the tax season now here going to have some extra money laying around and want to pick up a new shotgun for next season. Looking to purchase my first semi-auto, only semi-auto's I have owned are rifles and shotguns have always been pump actions.
So here are the basics, looking for something in the price range up to 1200 or maybe 1300. I have been looking at the Winchester SX3 or SX2 and Benelli SBE II. It will be used for both upland and duck hunting, some goose hunting down the line. So are there any pro's or con's for one over the other? I have read good reviews on both but I have noticed a lot of Benelli shooters, only thing that I don't like about the gun when I handled it at Cabela's was the angle of the handguard. What are the differences between the SX2 and the SX3 other than the newer furniture on the gun and one being a newer model? Haven't been able to find out much about them. Final question do I need a 3-1/2" chambered gun or camo?
Thanks in advanced.

sx3 would be a great choice. If i was looking into buying a semi auto, it would be the sx3.

3 1/2" is not necessary but some guys like to have the ability to throw extra steel at the ducks and geese. The SBEII is 3.5" compatible.
Camo is not necessary either, but it will provide an extra layer of protection from the elements. The black matte finish will also work and wont give off a glare while waterfowling etc

i would say a remington 11-87 i own one and they are reasonably priced and are reliable

Get the benelli if you want a good gun :P
No but seriously get the one that fits you the best, I think the SX3 is a step up from the SX2. I do know that the benelli guns will be lighter than those gas guns.
