Can we put animated .gifs in our avatar locations or below or signature?
Thanks
-
It's not specifically disabled. So technically it is permitted. However the complaints usually arise from the animation disappearing because when uploaded to the server the images are usually resized using the GD module. During resize, the GD module does not recreate the animation layers. Therefore the animation is often lost.

Thanks Ray, I was just curious

got it figured out... :IBCOOL:
You need to either find a 60x60 animated gif or resize it to that size...
The GD module won't have to resize it and it keeps the animation layers...
You can resize them for free here...

I've got a few of them saved on my photobucket account that I've used in the past. I didn't do anything special, just upload them to PB and they work when using the direct link.
Maybe presumably because photobucket resizes them for you.

There's a moving mouse one that's pretty neat. :chuckle:

I had one that was a little bug doing figure 8's. It was just a little black dot that was supposed to be a bug but people said it was annoying(it was) so I got rid of it.
