prices are right on their web site. I have no idea about the buckstalker.

I would take a knight over any traditions anyday

I love my underhammer, and legal in any state allowing percussion caps with the direct ignition advantage of an inline and a removeable breech plug. Nice and light as well.

If you can save up 50 bucks a month for the next six months then you can have you knight. If that's what you really want. I've heard some guys say that the elkhorn is their go to gun. If you get a gun in June or July and practice practice practice you will be ready for season. Again just my :twocents:

I have an older thompson 54 cal. its got a composite stock, shoots great, and I dont worry about polishing it up, its a meat getter, wouldnt trade it for nothing, you can have all those fancy in line models, keep it simple. :)

It will serve you well  It is my go to gun  I like my t/c xr as well but always had great luck with the cva.

+1 CVA Elkhorn, that what i use and its awsome.

is there anadvantage of a break action vs.an in-line ?
-
Break actions should be easier to clean, but I don't think there are any that are legal in this state. BTW, break action muzzleloaders ARE inlines.

Traditions vortek "NW or somthing like that" is a break action gun. That is legal here in washington using the 11.
Remember bobcat, that is the one that i had problems with. ;)

Bobcat is right: The break action guns are still a in lines. It refers to the the firing system, being in a "strait line". The older hammer style guns, are not in-lines because the firing system is not in a strait line. To help you understand the difference :IBCOOL:

Is knight still selling Rifles? I thought they were out of business?
-
They were out of business, but now the company is up and running again. They are taking deposits for the new run of muzzle loaders right now. "I read this in another thread on here" not to sure of the details.
