Title: Kimber Sonora
Post by: bobcat on May 03, 2008, 11:15:53 PM
Has anybody ever seen one of the new Kimber 8400 Sonora's? Looks like a sweet rifle. I just might have to save up and get one. They're available in 25-06, 30-06, and 300 Win. Mag. I'd have a difficult time deciding which cartridge, but would most likely opt for the 30-06.

I own one.  It's in .300 Win Mag.  I don't have my scope yet (it's on order) but the fit and finish is second to none.

Weight is a deal breaker for me. Once you toss on a scope, rings, sling and some ammo is edging 10 pounds all up....

If its anything like a Remington Sendero,, its basically useless as a serious hunting rifle. Way too heavy. Great for bench guys I reckon. I bought a Remington Sendero in 7mm UM with my first fishing checks. Worst 1000 bucks I have ever spent. The gun still lives in AR, which speaks volumes about how much I like it.
