Title: bobcat box traps
Post by: TeacherMan on January 29, 2011, 09:38:43 PM: I was looking at buying some bobcat box traps for my dad in WA. Anyone on the site make them? I have seen Yancy box traps that I really liked but I can't seem to find them. I'm looking for traps around 15" x 24" x 42" Cats seem to really feel comfortable in a trap that size.

They look good to me and that frame less cages look a lot lighter. Since all the roads are closed around here that might be a good thing for me.

They look like a great set of traps. I like how they go inside each other, I could put a half dozen on a sled really easily.

they are spendy,but they are great.Mercer is good guy to deal with and he will pass on some cool info also...

Unless I can find something better I will be getting 3 or 6 depending on how much I can swing. Figure a couple good eastern cats will pay for a 3 pack. ;)

I thought the same thing because I would be using them in your neck of the woods aswell. I have some spray that I put on my coil traps in AK that keeps the springs form freezing. If you put that in the groove it should help. I think I will get at least 3 this summer and give them a shot this next fall.

The NTA annual convention has plenty of dealers, tailgaters, and demos. Plus, you don't have to pay shipping fees if you haul it home yourself.
