Anybody have any experience with this pack. I have been eyeballing a new pack for week long trips and this seems to fit the bill.
Any thoughts? Not looking for a hunting pack (per say), more of a pack built for hiking.

Well I eneded up buying this pack. It has a heat molded waist belt and a sort of independent suspension. The waist belt swivels with your walking motion, that will be a big deal on un even terrain. The pack is formed to a humans back not perfectly straight, also the load is held off of your back for great ventillation. I will update again after a few hiking trips this spring.

Sounds like a great rig.

That's one BIG pack, those things are tanks. Only ever tried one on, never packed it up and hiked with it, let us know what ya think once you use it.
-
It weighs less than a Eberlestock J-34 and is narrower as well. I will post after I use it.

I don't think you will be disappointed. Osprey makes a solid pack. I have an older Aether 90. Very comfortable and super light.

Yea, sell it while it's still in good shape so you don't take to big of a loss.. The Argon is the worst Idea Osprey has had in a long time.. Trust me I'm not the only one that feels this way. I know and have Backpacked with a lot of experienced men and women. None of them have been happy with the new Argon.. Sell it and buy an older Osprey Cresent or an Arxteryx Bora used for less and walk away with a much better ride. I could not get rid of my Argon fast enough. Honestly one of the worst rides I've ever owned..
Hell even REI's XT 85 is a MUCH better ride than the Argon.. Actually the XT 85 is a pretty darn good pack. Ospreys older stuff is alot better than the Argon. I have owned The older Ospreys, an Arcteryx Bora, a Gregory or two.. All better than the Argon.. I wouldn't own an Argon if you gave it too me.. You can thank me later!

So what don't you like about it? A friend of mine has the Argon 110 and loves it.

Most of all it naturally forces most of the gear toward the bottom of the pack. Which is not good. Second the arched frame work actually take sup more space than it should. It dose not ride well at all.. Something that which you prolly wouldn't understand unless you've had a good ride..

Probably right about that! I bought my Aether used and compared to what I used before that it is a dream! :)
