Title: dalphon multi caliper
Post by: Blacklab on January 30, 2011, 10:20:32 AM
Hey guys
I have a ar 223 multi caliper and was wondering what you all thought about the types of uppers I could use. I'm kicking around the 308.

you can get uppers chambered in just about any .308 sized case. (you just have to have it built)  I have thought I would want one in .257 A.I. especially since I already am set up to reload for it.

A .308 upper would require an AR-10 lower.  AR-15 lowers are limited to .223 length cartridges.

The guys are right. I am no expert by any means. But I am pretty sure you can get a 9mm-22lr-204-5.56-223-5.45x39mm-30 rem-450 bushamster. That will fit onto your ar-15 lower. I also think the 6.8 will fit the ar-15. The bigger cals like the 243-7mm-08-308win use the ar-10 lowers, they are beefed up and made for the bigger cals.
