Title: Honey Hole
Post by: danderson on January 30, 2011, 06:24:35 PM: Found a honey hole last year looking for sheds, scattered across a ridge, all 19 of them, cant wait to see if they will drop there again this year. Any one else ever find a spot like this, it was 2 miles in and what seemed like 10 miles out all up hill.

Post by: blacktail luv on January 30, 2011, 07:41:27 PM: We found a spot about 15 years ago where it was all me, my dad and his friend could do to carry out all the deer sheds that were in about a 10 acre area. Haven't found another spot like that since. Not even close it was insane.

I found a whitetail spot like that quite a few years back. Me and my buddy found 20 something sides....Don't think that will happen again any time soon. Wish I would have taken a photo.......

I've found a couple places where one clearing or ridge had 15 - 20 deer sheds, but my best day shed hunting was 15 moose paddles from one clearing that was about 300 x 300 yards. There is nothing like having the truck bed FULL of moose sheds from one days worth of shed hunting.

Post by: Lowedog on January 30, 2011, 11:00:00 PM: What ever you do...don't tell anyone where it is! Had a place like that for mule deer that produced lots of sheds for about 4 yrs. Started seeing others in there on the 5th year and have only found a few there over the last 5 or so yrs.
