Went east this weekend and did some scouting on Friday and hunted a new spot that we scouted. My buddy and I had a great shoot both Sat. and Sunday! I shot a Canvas on Sunday morn. (my first after 30+ years of hunting), plus a double on pintail drakes, and a limit of geese! In all, we shot six species of ducks - Canvasback, Pintail, Wigeon, Teal, Gadwall, and Spoonbill. We also shot six geese on Sunday. Although this is public land (and there were a lot of hunters in the usual spots), we only had one other group of hunters on Saturday and we had the place to ourselves on Sunday.
Sorry, no pics, as neither of us had a camera. But, I plan to have the Canvas mounted. Any good taxidermy recommendations?
How about any other last weekend stories of great times? Can't wait till next year!

We had a very mixed bag type of last weekend as well. We ended up with mallards, bluebills, canvasback, pintail, bufflehead and a goldeneye. Pretty crazy for sure!

Three of us went out and all got our limit of blue bills and buffle heads and I got one goose. Great way to end the season.
