i found this casing while coyote hunting, its a 308 case, but the tip is smaller than .22, .... maybe .17?
the photo shows the casing next to a 308 round.

That looks an awful lot like the old casings we used to find when the mattawa area opened up to farming....30 cal machine gun casing blanks. used to find belts of them on the ground!

WELL THATS BORING.... I WAS EXPECTING SOMETHING LIKE A SUPER ULTRA HIGH VELOCITY .17 CAL. :( OH WELL... LOL THANKS GUYS

The long slender nose is to mimmick the shell....The opening always conatined a paper wad.....Nothing but primers and powder for those things! ;)

7.62 training round. Usually linked for the M-60 and such.

Blank round, belted for the M60. Shot a zillion of them.
