Looking for some opions on what the best grain bullet is for a Bustmaster 223 AR, for a range of around 300 yards?
-
What is the twist rate of the barrel?
-
Barrel length and rate of twist will help get an accurate answer

They're typically 1:9 like my DPMS ARs. My ARs will pretty much shoot anything 68 grs or less with great accuracy. Right now, I'm shooting more 40 gr and 50 gr V-Max loads than anything else. When you're talking about "best" grain bullet, are you talking about long-range bullet-drop, wind drift, energy, etc.? :dunno:

Sorrry i forgot that it is 1/9 twist with 20 inch barrel..

Yes kinda looking for a good grain bullet to zero in at 300 yards, how high at 100 plus still having the con. energy at 300 to put it down..
