I've got one. Had it for years. Works very well. Never clean the grub/smoke stains off the sides. It adds to the flavor. Also, instead of baby sitting the little briquettes, I stack 4-5 on top of each other and let them burn/smoke down to ashes. I noticed that when you get down to the last briquettes, they don't push out onto the little hot plate gizmo and they become worthless. You'll like it once you figure out what works best for you.

That is my first smoker, still have it. Have made jalapeno poppers, turkeys, chickens, trout and small dinnners. Have never had a problem with hot smoking food in mine. When the weather is 0 degrees here, I always wrapped the smoker will a wool blanket for temp control.

i have the basic brinkman grill/smoker except for charcoal.
do they sell just the complete base pan deal that makes it an electric smoker?
....not looking forward to cold smoking tomorrow using briquettes and having to poke at it every 20 minutes.... for 14 hours....
