Well I got my couch blind all setup and ready to go for hummer shots :hello:
-
First off is Rufus he's about an onery cuss love chasin everyone off. All shots taken with the Kodak Z812
-
When Rufus doesn't chase them off I got a shot at a Callipso I believe he is the smallest of the hummers
-
Last but not least is a Blackchin.
-
Love them. I also have a feeder set out. Last Year I had no takers? I might try the back yard this year?
-
Excellent! Scares the piss out of me when I'm working out back and one buzzes the tower using the feeder, sounds like a B52. They do get really defensive of feeder's once the secret's out, it's funny to watch.
Slider, I had that issue our first year in the new house, one thing that helped was planting a bunch of flowering plant's nearby, the next year we had more hummer's than we could count. A fountain is another thing that would help, I have the smallest pump you can buy, a fish tank pump, but a fairly large basin that holds a few gallons of water with a column in the middle. You might try planting some Currant, Wild Lilac, etc.
