Today I checked all of my cameras that are currently out. I got a mixed bag and missed a lot of photos due to dead batteries in two cams and bad placement of 2 cams, but overall I got someone’s hound, a few deer, a coyote, 3 different bobs and a cougar on trail camera over the last couple weeks. The images are poor because they are frame captures from video and some of the cameras are low end.
The last camera I checked was also the first card I looked at and to say I was shocked was an understatement.

This spot was one of those that you get excited before the check and are a bit bummed out after. But instead I got these before the batteries died too soon.

Camera batteries died on the afternoon of the 8th. In the last 5 days the bobcat came back or a yote came by as evident by the torn up head.

My regular bob buddy was back again as well.

The next camera seemed to be the hot one this check.
I got a couple of deer.

If I would have thought of it I would have. My original thought was "balloon knot". :yike:

Yes, it was 663. Hard to say what was happening, but there are coons there as well as bobs.
-
Awesome pics Billy! Good luck with that trap!
-
Nice bunch of cats!!!

Very nice! Are you planning on hunting around the area where the cougar was?

Looks like you have a little predator management to do :hunter:

-
Very very nice haul! how long did you let them soak for? Thanks for the motivation I'm gonna get mine out this week now!!
-
Probably a coon hunter's walker in the first one. I've been out coonhunting 8 nights in the past 2+ weeks.
-
Billy, what were you shocked to find on the first camera?
-
James,
I was shocked to see the hound (actually it was the rearview that bothered me). I did two calling sets there the night before since I had coon pics the week before. I have had cameras in this area for months straight off and on over the years and never had a dog pic.
Dirty,
Some were a couple days, some a couple weeks and one was 3 weeks.
Jesse,
Not really planning on hunting the cougar just yet. It only came through the one time over a week ago. I may continue to monitor that spot though.

Here are a few more screen captures.
Upclose!

wow nice coug.. you got yourself a nice spot. those critters must be extra hungry to be coming around like that in a fairly short time frame. How soon after or before the cougar did anything else show up on cam?.
-
I don't think they were very hungery. They all seemed healthy and only the cougar tested the bones. They ate nothing and did not spend much time. I set this cam about ten yards off an old logging road that always has yote & bob scat on it. So I am sure they are just on their normal rounds and caught the scent.
