Post by: Jeremiah P on February 16, 2011, 06:19:33 PM
Got my new rifle today, and boy do I wanna go do some shooting. Remington 700 chambered in 257 weatherby mag, topped with a Zeiss conquest 4.5-14x44. Should shoot pretty flat with the loads I got from Jaime B. I'll keep you all posted on the performance

Congrats looks like a mighty fine weapon.

What is the barrel length and twist rate? Looking forward to hearing some performance reviews.

The barrel is 26'', do not know the twist. Currently waiting for a response from remington on the twist, I'll let you know when I find out.

That'll work. One of my pards has a LSS 257, another has a fluted cdl, both great shootin guns. My Mark V gets about 75-100 fps more than the remmy's, the remmy's show preasure sooner. You can still get em crankin. You'll love it for bucks and coyotes, flat phuckin spanks em! Later

Grin.. Been busy with the boys wrestling, family stuff, left BTC cause all the good ole boys left. Kinda went into a molt after Josh Teal phucked me. Nothing like eatin the best elk tag in the state, losing 2500 bucks, and getting lied too. Only thing that saved him from getting hurt, was the ol lady wasn't too emotinal about the whole deal. Piece of advice, when booking a hunt, follow your gut instinct!! Later Jason
