Title: Maybe you guys can help me out
Post by: DD8 on February 17, 2011, 08:11:11 AM: I have some primo elk private property I'd like to help a friend lease out for this coming elk season and I'm not sure where I would place such an ad? Do I need to speak to a realtor/leasing agent or is it as simple as posting an ad in the paper? Any help would be appreciated.

How many acres, how much per year. I would like to know how much a person should budget for something like this in a price per acre sort of way.

If it is a large track there are plenty of brokerages that will help orchestrate the lease. It's when you get into smaller parcels that you will have to go to craigslist or nickel savers. If you do list it yourself you will still want an attorney to set up the paperwork. There is a lot of liability when allowing others to access your land that you must dissolve yourself of first. Also proper legal forms aid in other areas like collecting unpaid dues. :twocents:
