New to predator hunting. Just got a Foxpro spitfire and a new .243. What calls are working right now and what kind of calling sequence are you using for coyotes? East or west....thinking about possibly heading east next week sometime to put out a couple cams for turkey and see if we can cal in a yote or two. Any help would be great.

They are still harder to call right now. Give it a month or two and calling will get much better. Try howls and if nothing shows use distress.

What kind of .243? Im looking into getting a Savage. Was going to get the Remington 770 for the price but there are too many mixed reviews on this gun.

I got the 770 youth for $297 at Walmart and have put 2 boxes through it and it shoots good! It came with the shims so both me and my son can both shoot it. Did a trigger job to lighten up the trigger but haven't gotten back out to the range to try it out.

Get close to the cattle ;) and watch!

I had a yote held up out at 950 yards today, got him to come in with a pup in distress. :dunno:
