I am looking for a good handgun technique class for my wife and I.
We both know the basics of gun safety, cleaning procedures, etc, but we would like to get a good class that teaches things like:
-shooting stance
-sight picture
-trigger control
-flinch reduction
All with a focus to get a better handle on increased handgun accuracy.
I looked at the kenmore classes and they looked to focus a lot on basic safety, gun cleaning, etc which is a bit basic for our needs. I looked at Wades and they are nice, but run on weeknights till 10 pm which is a little bit late for old timers like us...
Suggestions?

You might inquire with Wades about private lessons if that interests you.

Sorry, Jackelope, but I wouldn't spend a dime in Wades and trust none of their personnel to be anything more than a mouthy know-it-all this comes from experience.
OP, you live in Bothell, why not try the Kenmore range...put a 3x5 card up with your wishes, and a member would likely respond. Maybe also contact DJ's with the same question...though they're busy as heck most of the time.
I would offer to show you some basics...sound fundamentals.
PM me if you'd like.

Thats fine. I've been in there 2-3 times in the last year probably and have been treated well every time. My experiences differ from your experiences. I know nothing of their reputation. I know they do private lessons and the guy asked so I relayed what I know. Thats all. Maybe they know what they're talking about and maybe they don't. Your guess is as good as mine.

If you're not in a hurry.. I might be able to find you an instructor, or at least a veteran/accomplished competitor that will give you some time.
I will send you a PM later.

There are also some very good instructional videos up on Youtube, this guy is good for beginners:
Handgun: Stance Principals (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WV6FthRk66s#ws)
Attached is a hand gun correction chart that can also help with correcting general aim issues.

How about Norpoint up in the Arlington area....anybody shoot up there?
