Title: Duck hunting clubs?
Post by: BigFoot02 on March 02, 2011, 09:10:47 AM: I live in western Washington and am really tired of fighting for public land blinds... Are there any good (affordable) duck clubs out there looking for members?

Post by: sakoshooter on March 02, 2011, 11:54:59 AM: Corky Smith ran a duck club for years in the Lincoln Cr valley west of Centralia. He died just a couple years ago and I don't know what's happened to the 'club' and all the areas he used to lease. Anybody here know?

Post by: bobcat on March 03, 2011, 01:08:59 PM: If I lived in Everett I sure wouldn't be joining a club down in Lewis County. I'm sure there are a few clubs in Skagit County and that would probably be your best bet. Check on craigslist occasionally and also the "Duck Hunters Refuge."

I never met a guy who was more fair to each an every member...didn't matter if you where a member for 20 years or the first year. He rotated blind assignments and treated every member equally. Had some great shoots there and of course blue bird days happen to all duck hunters.

The place was always well managed, and the blinds were very good.

He passed away but I hear his son is keeping the tradition going. I miss hunting there!
