Midway's latest flyer has these cams for $65, so I've got one on the way. My first attempt will be to get pics of the cat that sneaks into my backyard every night to drink from the birdbath. Wondering if anyone else has one, and how they work. I wanted to get a low cost one to start. Hope it's not like a first hit of cocaine! :P

How much do they normally sell for?

Looks like about half off the regular price. Its tempting....

Yes that is tempting. Wish there were some reviews of it on there.

Yeah, guess I'll have to be the guinea pig. The flyer says Reg. $130, and comes with a 2GB SD card and instructioal CD, etc. so can't be all bad. 3mp isn't great by current standards, but my 4mp digital camera was top of the line when I got it, and still takes great pictures, so it should show me what's there. Plus infrared won't attract attention, I hope.

Well, the camera came last week, and I put it out in the backyard to try it out. Only pics it took were of me, but the quality was great. Night shots were blurred, because it caught me walking by. Was hoping to catch a shot of the cat that sometimes frequents my back yard, but no dice. Also, it didn't react to the many Quail that I know mill around back there. They must not put out enough heat or something. Anyhow, it seems to work fine on monkey-sized critters like me, so a deer or bear should trigger it. I still think it's a good deal for $65.
