Title: Another Rino 530 question
Post by: Crunchy on May 16, 2008, 08:52:15 PM: Do any of you guys have carry extra battery pack? If so which did you go with, the adapter for AA's or the rechargeable? Second question, I cant figure out is what does the repeater channels actually do for the unit?

Post by: KillBilly on May 16, 2008, 08:58:02 PM: I use the Lithium Ion battery pack primary and carry a rechargeable battery pack as back up. So far I've not needed a backup. I have a LI backup also but is heavier to pack.

Post by: bullcanyon on June 19, 2008, 03:05:40 PM: I carry both the rechargable and the alkaline with me when I go in deep for extended stays. The alkaline pack will not allow you to use the radio in 5 watt mode. Keep that in mind if transmission distance is a concern.
