I saw the most heron's I've ever seen in one place this past week. The pic doesn't do it justice, if I'd have had a wider-angle lens, you would see over 100 of them in the row.

Thats pretty neat. I can't recall ever seeing more than 3 at one place.

I think the most I had seen prior to this was during the salmon spawn on the upper Cowlitz, maybe 6-8 of them at the Barrier Dam.

Cool pictures, here is a crappy photo of mine in Delta Junction, Alaska. There were flocks of them, maybe numbering in the 1000's in the surrounding area, we accidentially spooked them and off the whole stinking lot circled and circled till they elevation, all while sounding off. It was unreal and loud. But my photograph does not do any justice...

These look like sandhill cranes.

Yep sand hill cranes also known as the prime rib of the sky mm GOOD.Delta is a great place to hunt cranes and geese.
