While Checking Trail Camera we had this buck come down off the hill right after dropping some feed down. He ended up about ten yards from us. notice the scar on his hip...after he left we looked at the pictures off the Trail Camera.
-
That's a some cool shots! Did you ever go back up and walk around ;)
-
And this is him with his Rack
-

-
cool pics. What an old scapper.
-
:'(
-
that is a sweet buck, would be awesome to find his sheds for sure.
-
If we would of had more time we would of followed his tracks. he still had blood on his head where they came off. will look for sure in a month or so when all the snow is gone
-
That's a nice buck. You'd better get up there soon, so those antlers don't get all chewed up by the timber tigers
-
thats going to be a wicked scar...very cool pictures
-
That's an awesome buck, what a worrior. Hope you find his sheds. He sure is banged up.
-
Old buck look how thinned out his hips are!
-
I don;'t think I could wait a month to get those in my hands. I'd be up there today, those antlers are NICE!
-

Bigfoots are everywhere up there! Transka, you can PM me the location and I will find those sheds and keep them safe for you.

My guess is a kitty cat was scratching his back for him. :chuckle:
-
Maybe a cat with one claw that can scratch in a straight line. :dunno: I guess we need to see the other side of the deer for scars.
I have seen a few deer killed with "burn" marks and scars just like this from bullets. Depending on the angle of the shot and the positioning of the deer, a straight burn can look curved.
If there are not scars on the other side, you can bet there is a bummed rifle hunter out there.
-
Great buck!

Or archery hunter!
-
True.
-
What a Champ! Those good ol boys can take a lickin and keep on kickin. Great set of shed for somebody....
-
I was thinking maybe a car? :dunno: In the first pic it looks like some hide is gone off his back leg, almost like road rash. :twocents:
-
I can't stop looking at this buck! Truly one of the coolest bucks Ive ever seen.

-
Well you stay out of the Methow area as its not your buck :chuckle:

I don't think so not where he is at ;)
-
Almost looks like he was in a frantic (stuck on a fence). Maybe not. Also, maybe he took a dive off a cliff. Road hit would be my only other thought. Anyhow, thanks for posting the pics. They are great! I'm sure the bone isn't too far from your pics, so you should have a pretty easy time rounding them up -- good luck. Oh ya, forgot to mention, but that's what I call a TANK!
-
What a stud! Gotta go look for his sheds and post some pictures if you find em !
-
What a battle axe! I sure hope you find those sheds!
-
I think I would have had to be late to my own wedding if I in your shoes that day ;)

Its humorous how well this suits this thread. And my mentality about this buck's photos. :)
-
i am telling you i was amazed at how big he was
-
He might not make it thru this year but atleast you got some decent pics of him. Good job catching him on your trail Cam
-
this buck is a hog, did you go back and get those sheds?
-
Any word on whether anyone found the sheds off of that hog?
-
I was wondering that to, nice buck
-
I FOUND HIS SHEDS!!!... in my dreams... :bash:
-
Update ......had four of us up ther looking most of the snow is gone and looked for 3 days 4 people walking about 10 feet apart found one 3 pt shed but thats it not done yet but know excatly where they aren't
-
good luck, i hope you them both...
-
Damn nice buck ...Do you think the scares are from fighting or Cougar ?
-
looks like a cat scratch to me, one lucky buck.
-
The strange thing is if you look at it both the doe and the buck have the exact same scars in the exact same place and that is very fishy!!
Its the same deer, lost its horns. Looks like maybe a cat had got on his back, and missed his neck? Kicked harder with his rear leg. deep, wide wound
Very cool, NICE BUCK!
-
Yeah I agree but one hell of a nice buck !!!!
-
Very realistic picture, in the hope that it will become better and better
