does anyone know how to fix or any suggestions for me on a problem that i have with my 1980 marlin model 60?? i load up a whole magazine of ammo, pull back the action a bullet loads i fire it shoots and another bullet feeds into the action but when i pull the trigger it doesnt fire and i have to open the action halfway and close it again for it to fire. ive taken the whole gun appart even the trigger assembly cleaned it all and put it all back together. i took it out for a test run this last weekend and it did the same thing. it fired, fed another round into the chamber but would not fire again until i opened the action halfway then released it. any suggestions or pointers would be great i love my model 60 it has the awesome squirrel engravings on the stock and a nice scope.

*censored* out the reciever with brake parts cleaner, loosen both the front and rear action screws, then pull the action from the stock.
lubricate the whole thing with powder graphite ONLY (after you go to McLendons and buy some) and reassemble.
Tighten the forward lug screw TIGHT then only snug up the rear one.
Or drop it off at my house with a cheap can of brake parts cleaner from schucks and i will do it for you.'
you oiled the slide in the reciever and its gummed up now, they are a dry lube rifle only.

DOES THE FIREING PIN HIT THE PRIMER? I HAD THAT WITH MT STEVENS MODEL 64. IT WOULDN'T FIRE, BUT WHEN I TOOK OUT OUT THE UNFIRED ROUND, I COULD SEE A DENT IN THE RIM/PRIMER WHERE THE FIREING PIN HIT, IT TURNS OUT I HAD SOME GUNK THAT WOULDN'T LET THE FIN HIT HARD ENOUGH, AFTER A GOOD CLEANING, WITH VERY LITTLE OIL (I FOUND THAT LOTS OF OIL AFECTED THE FIRING PIN IN THE SAME WAY AS THE GUNK)
IT STARTED WORKING GOOD
