Title: what size bullet (7MM rem mag)
Post by: D-Rock425 on March 13, 2011, 03:37:28 PM: I attended the RMEF banquet in Everett with my Grandpa last night and won a riffle. Its a Remington 770 in 7mm rem mag. I know the 770 isn't the best of guns but it is the caliber of rifle I wanted. My questions are should I try to trade it in and upgrade? And what's the bullet size of choice? I already have a 7mm08 that I shoot 140 grains out of so I was thinking of shooting the 175 grain out of the rem mag. Right now the only thing I hunt with a rifle is bear but I wouldn't count out trying modern season for elk.

I would trade it in and upgrade to a Rem 700. If it were me, I think I'd take it to Cabelas, see what they give me for it, and see what is on their used shelf in the 700 model. :dunno:

I'm not talking straight across trade. I was saying trade it in and pay cash for the difference
