Title: Elk are dropping!!!
Post by: Elkslayer on March 20, 2011, 08:26:42 PM: On my way to work last Thursday and saw three bulls about 50yds from the road. All three were completely bald. Gonna have to get back in there and backtrack before all the snow melts. Anyone else seeing them this way yet?

Post by: Alan K on March 20, 2011, 09:00:45 PM: Stopped by the Oak Creek feed station on the way back to school today. . . I'd say about a third were bald, third had one side, and a third had both. Also, I spotted a group of five bulls between Morton and Randal, and all five had both sides.

What!! I thought elk were like Caribou? :dunno: These were definately bulls, put the binos up and watched them for a few minutes. Could clearly see the pedicales on all three.

It is a WA bull. There's some hogs hiding in the woods! ;)
