I have someone offering me a stag AR-15 for 450!!!, I don't have that cash so I am selling half my guns (in the classifieds), Is that worth it he says he has an aftermarket mag and a few extras nothing to fancy but is a stag for that price an absolute steal?

If your other guns don't hold any value to you. Then sell away. But don't sell guns you will regret later on.

I kinda may regret selling my sks but I can get another one down the road, for far cheaper then an stag arms AR, otherwise if I dont sell the sks I wont have enough in the rest to get the other.

I would be making sure that AR wasn't beat to hell and that the barrel was still good after calling in the serial number to make sure it wasn't stolen.

Have of MY guns to get an AR? NO!
Sounds like you've only got a couple, and most SKS's aren't family heirlooms. Yes, validate the function of the AR and make sure it's not warm to the touch. An SKS is an assault rifel, plain and simple stamped steel. An AR is a platform. Much more than a simple assault rifle.

No offense to the 3 rifles you're selling but I'd sell those 3 rifles in a heartbeat to get an AR assuming the AR you're getting is a solid(not stolen) rifle. I'm a quality over quantity type guy.

Gotta agree with those above me
If they arent of any value to you, go for it!
But its usually just as easy to build an AR piece by piece. $60 here, $100 there... eventually it all comes together, and often for less than a complete rifle would go for. IMO, it feels d*mn good to build one yourself, you have a sense of pride about it

Yea its my boss he is wanting to make the down payment on a car, and so he is going to sell some of his guns (he is a lower level manager at wally world... :P) He is kinda impulsive and I want to jump on this offer as it has only had some 100 or 200 rounds through it
-
I would never sell more than one gun to buy another let alone sell multiply for just one. I have sold some in the past for various reasons and I have always regreted it later. Save some cash and get it when you can or sell something else.
-
... if its worth it to you, than its worth it. :twocents:

if you can't get enough money together, I will buy his AR from him.

I am not getting too much interest in my ad I just edited it but are the prices too high? I think they are fair or are those type of rifles not too popular around here. And not the AR is not stolen he really really really wants to get a down payment for a new car. (he is very impulsive).

post seperate ads for each on seattleguns.net, westernwashingtonfirearms.com & waguns.org
That m44 you can get $200 for it easily there.
the SKS you could get around $300 in one day easily at any of these sites.
then keep the others and go get your AR.

I don't think I will be selling my sks anymore I finally got the scope on it and got some stripper clips in so now its pretty BA and is probably a great coyote/deer rifle now so no go on the sks....
