hey everyone, last weekend i bout a bowtech extreme solo, with a 5 pin trophy taker sight, and alll that other good stuff. haha it all came together its used. and i am starting to figure this out. i have it set at 70lb draw. and after that first day i have no problems pulling it back. i have been shooting it at least 50 times a day, and one the first 2 days i shot it proball 100 times, and im starting to figure out how to shoot it, when the block i have i angled a diffrent direction. for me to hit it with decent groups. oh i have one question i am not quite sure when i need to get it re strung since this is the first bow i have ever really been, around. well thanks everyone for reading me blab on about this. but i just had to tell some one that in figureing it out and having a blast.

Might not be a bad idea to take it to a bow shop and have it looked over since it is a used bow. They should be able to tell you if you need a new string, cable, or any other maintenance.

:yeah:

Ide just have it all re done, that way ya know everything is legit.

I would get it redone if there is any signs of ware. As much as you will shoot it before the season. Any signs right now, will be a problem come hunting season. Then it will be a pain to get it changed and get everything set back up. If everything looks good. Shoot away :archery_smiley:

Can't hurt to have it checked out

alright thanks for the help

Wondering, do you have previous experience shooting? If not you should maybe think about a quick lesson. The fundamentals for shooting are pretty important. And greatly increase your accuracy right off the start.

Yurp, can't hurt for sure. It's definitely one of those things that can be dangerous if not maintained properly, and if you dont know the history, it's probably best to have an expert check it out. Until then, I'd check for any wear on the string and wax it up
Congrats on the buy!

One of the smartest posts Ive read on this site!
If more archers went to pros (like golfers get lessons from golf pros) archers in general would be MUCH better shots!

Also, might not be a bad idea to back off on the poundage while you are developing muscle memory and good form.
