Last archery season, we were covered up with bulls all season long. Chased this guy around one morning last archery season, got to within 22 yards of him, but let him go. Would you have taken him?

With archery equipment :cue:
-
Except for a handful of very choice tags... HECK YES!
-
yep
-
Does a wood chuck chuck wood?
-
the area looks just east of the mountains and while there is alot of great bulls over there they are not a every day sight i would have taken him better than eating a big bull tag
-
Its a trick. Dont answer cause Norse has the rest of th story.... Just guessing..... :chuckle:
-
unless theres a bigger bull standing to the side. thats not in the picture . looks like elk steaks to me
-
As long as I was in an any bull area my arrow would have been flying!
-
Looks like about a 280 bull to me..... +/- ................... which equals dead trophy bull if I have anything to say about it.
Cool video.
-
Does a wood chuck chuck wood?
yup
-
3 point or better unit = dead bull.
-
He'd be delicious sausage by now :chuckle:
-
Wouldnt have even knocked an arrow on that one for a permit bull. General season there would most definately be an arrow flying through his lungs unless I was hunting a bigger bull.
-
Tough call. I'd be on the fence which typically tells me no, don't do it.
He's a smart one too. When he stopped at the :32 mark he sure didn't hang long nor did he offer up much of a shot either.

To quote Geico...
"Do Dogs chase Cats?!"
-
no tricks, just a good bull that I was chasin for a while and didn't shoot, we had some bigger bulls located so we decided that this guy needed another year. And yes I was in a great bull unit with a big bull archery tag.
-
Id shoot him in a minute. Beats going home with nothing
-
nope not in a LE area
-
would have been a dead elk ;)
-
My son had the peaches muzzy tag 3 years ago. Missed his first bull, Looked just like that ,on the opener.
-
Oh yeah!
-
He would be taking a dirt nap in my freezer... done deal.
-
his head on the wall and his body in the frezzer... would not let him go bye bye
-
:mgun:
-
Yup.
-
would take him in a heart beat with archery... muzzeloader or rifle... maybe second half of the season?
-
I hope you ate tag soup lol :chuckle:
-
thanks elkslayer... :chuckle: but I did not eat tag soup. :IBCOOL:
-
I sure would. Dose the Pope sh#t in the woods? :dunno:
-
Slitting at my computer in March, I would say no Ill pass. But in the woods in September at 22yds? Equals a Slick Trick through his lungs.
-
definitely would have taken him, then again i havent shot an elk yet so making that my first would be a huge stroke of luck!
-
Oh, you saved him for me when I draw this year :IBCOOL:
Thanks Ty......
-
bang
-
No problem Pete, I know right where this guy lives, and he'll be a definate shooter this year.
-
BOOM

I would have done the same. Key note, being you had some bigger located. Had I stuck that bull though, I wouldn't be a bit disappointed.
-
Not in the first few days but definitely if it was 22 yards on any of the last 3 days of the season! Nice footage.
-
:bfg: :cue: :mgun:
-
General season I wouldn't even have to think twice, permit hunt I probably would have passed unless it was the last day or two :twocents:
-
Oh Hell Ya. Oh Norse did I say "I F-ing hate you"! I hunted that unit all early season for any bull, let alone a 6x6. And I hunted my ass off. Great Video, I wish I was there. Hope you had a good season.
