So my Dad and I decided do go low to see what there was on other pieces of property and that were the bird are still holdind up. Every property that I have next to the river is still hold a lot of bird. Most flocks that I seen had 3 to 4 toms and dozen hens. They are strutting and gobbling to every little thing.
We did drive up to Kettle Falls and all the way down HWY 25 we seen bird crossing the road from the river to the East side of the road.
So my report is that 75% of the bird in my area are still really low. It did look like they are starting to get there flock to gether and starting to split up. The toms that I seen and herd are very vocal from 730 to 900 with out calling to them. The snow level is around 3000 to 3200 feet.
We did go up to are property that is at 2700 feet and there were bird on it at yelping and I herd 1 gobble but those bird and as vocal as lower ones.
The flock of birds that are in these pictures just came walking past my pickup while we were listening to other birds gobbling above us. I was standing at the front of my truck they could care less. I was only parked for about a minute. The last pic is of the gobbling 30 yard from us.

I like the Primos OlBetsy..Its cheap but a great design and sounds awesome..probably find them at Clarks or Walmart in Colville.

Not sure if I can hold out for a big one either. If a 10 incher comes out it's going to have to die :chuckle:. One good thing is that I have my uncle trying for his 1st turkey this year so he is going to make the 1st shot.

Seen alot of big flock at day light and at evenings headed to roasts.
to "roasts" LOL! I sure hope so!
