I just re found the picture of my wife's buck and thought I would share. Opening day about 8:00 AM. We saw a small group and snuck down and got in front of them behind a rock. The first deer to crest the hill was a big 2x2 and he just kept coming at us, he got to about 5 or 6 feet from us before he heard or smelt us and took off at a dead run. I thought that would spook the rest of the group but it didn't seem to effect them, they just kept coming. Her deer popped up and was heading straight for us only giving her a head on shot. My wife asked what she should do and I told her to put a bullet in its heart. A second later BOOM. Deer dropped like a ton of bricks 30 yards in front of us. I quickly scanned the rest of the heard that was just kinda standing there stunned and saw that the other buck in the group was a real tall 3 x 3. I put up my gun and boom. Well we both tagged out minutes apart and that was it except a for the nice long drag out.
