Title: Another FNG on your site. I am referring to me. LOL.

I shoot archery only and am looking for an education on how to get my first deer. dont care about trophys , just meat in the freezer. wouldnt mind a doe even. I live in the gig harbor area and am just looking for a hunting partner or even just a teacher or place to start. thanks.

Post by: h20hunter on April 17, 2011, 09:43:02 AM: I don't know a whole lot about the area but I would start with some quadrangle maps from the state or use the "GoHunt" feature on wa.gov. Gonna have to put some boot time in and learn the thick stuff. Look for used travel routs. Get a cam, or two, and start looking. Wouldn't hurt to drop a mineral block when you find your own little honey hole. Good luck. Oh, also, don't attach a flashlight to your bow. Inside joke.
