I purchased my Tags and Specail Permit hunts today, But when i try to put in my numbers for the permit apps it says I have none to submit.
I am guessing it takes a while for the computers to catch up knowinng that I just purchased them...
anyone else have this isuue??? and do i just need to wait a while to submit my hunt #s??
thanks

I think the new regs book said to enter between the 18th of April and some time in May. I think you need to wait until Monday. Unless you are applying for the same hunts as me, then enter in June. :chuckle:
-
thanks Jimmy,
I didnt bother to look at the dates when to submit. I think before you could do it all at the same time...
Kinda of a pain for me, I am in Tonga, it the southern Pacific Ocean.....
-
Yeah, you should be good to go on the 18th :IBCOOL:
-
April 18th to May 18th is the application period.
and......you aren't going to get any sympathy telling us you are in Tonga. :chuckle:
-
BONE,
thanks, Tonga is crazy, they got pigs runnning all over the street and i mean tons of them. And a whole bucnh of dogs. But you cannot pet or try to hurt any of them or you go directly to jail here. Can't even take your shirt off in public, another trip to jail...
and they eat dog like chicken....... tried some, taste about what you would think dog tastes like........dog :chuckle: :chuckle:

Once upon a time I bought a 100 pounds of "Live Rock" from there and had it FED EXed' to my house. (Theres a sucker born every minute) Watch out there, at that price even the rock is probably sacred.
-
Well, I think they used to like to eat people there so if the dog and pig population suddenly declines I'd be worried. I assume that the 18th would be for the Pacific Time Zone....since apparently you will start your 18th way ahead of us. I would think you would be too busy catching tuna and marlin there anyways. :chuckle:
-
not tuna, but the snapper fishing is incredible........dont have my camera otherwise i would post them....
half of this place dont even have power, and we were told not under any circumstances do you drink the water.......
I wanna kill me a pig though.......i am working on that one........gonna give up a hell of alot of NAVY stuff to make a deal
-
Hey man, cherish the Navy crap. You will never have those opportunities again.
Remember i have been out for 6 years now. And i still miss being at sea. and the family you make while you are in.
Next year...
-
You should be good to go now. I bought and submitted all but my QB application on Monday. Still have some debating as to what to put in for that last one though.
-
Umm I was able to do mine and lil ladies this morning with no issues!
-
I won't be making my final decisions on what to put in for until the 2010 harvest report is posted.
-
Pretty easy choice for me, just ghost points for everything except OIL, quality bull and quality buck, and second deer. Quality bull is the only one I'm stuck on. :-\
-
I still can't decide whether I want to go with an archery deer tag or modern firearm. And with elk I'm actually considering going with an archery tag, instead of muzzleloader. Really need a hard copy of the regulations so I can bring it to bed with me and go over it every night for a couple weeks so I can sleep on it. The answers will come to me... :)

I understand that. I still don't know what i'm going to do. I need a hard copy. But I don't think I will take it to bed with me. :chuckle:

Not sure if there are elk in TONGA. Went to school with kid from TONGA. Very nice family. He said they burned tires from the USA for power. He had funny fishin stories not so much about elk!! :hello:
-
Was involved in a fist fight 24 yrs ago with a bus load of guys from tonga......We didnt realize how big those people where until the bus stopped and emptied. Everytime I see the word tonga I instantly think, dont flip off a bus load of them! Sorry for the hi-jac just couldnt help it.
-
Thanks for all the help ,
GOt all my permits in but one, still thinking about which one for that hunt...
TONGA, well it sure as hell is interesting place........
-
All mine are submitted except for Quality Deer. Ghost points on Quality Elk as there is nothing on the westside that I am willing to burn 14 points on. Not really anything in the Bull Elk category either, but I'm 99.9% sure I won't draw the tag I'm applying for. If I do, it will be a bonus.
-
question i put in for a bull permit. if i dont get drawn .dose my points still add up for my qality tag and cow tag. or do i need to aply to each of them.
-
If you want points in all the categories, you have to apply in all the categories. You can choose the point only option but it will still cost $6.50 for the point.
-
Yea just dont put in for that Blues tag!! :chuckle:

I can't image driving that far for some fun hunting. I don't know if my wife will let me hunt since if gas price jump high before hunting season. :yike:

I have already started putting money away for gas, with a built Big Block Chevy, Turbo 400 and 4.10 gears with NO overdrive I have to be $$$$ ahead this year.
