HA! HE WAS HUNTING WITH MY OUTFITTER DOWN THERE!!! Did you tell him that they were my buds! I thought I knew that cross bow but I know that 7mm :IBCOOL: Sweet hope he had a good time with them they are the best!
-
I was kind of wondering if you knew them. He was hunting with Jonathan. Apparently the food is really good as well. They had great weather, only two days of rain of their 25 days so far. I thought the crossbow was my dad's but I know he borrowed the 7mm.
-
Its a twin to ours if it is his :chuckle: That's great! Jonathan and zion are both my good buddies they run a first class operation and I would not book for them if they were not the best!
-
Could very well be Jonathan's loaner. I know they have had and are having a great time.

Actually it's an honest question, I live in CA now (after living in WA for 25 years) and was wondering if there was a change.

yes you still have to wear orange. Sorry to jump your case but it seams like there is always someone who ruins a good thread by nit picking it apart and creating a huge argument.

I wasn't meaning to hijack, the pick just caught my eye. I haven't hunted WA in over 10 years, yet I still feel weird heading out not wearing blaze. I remember the grief it caused when it was implemented in 1991.

Not my bull; my wifes. Book Cliffs roadless. We crawled up to 380 yards and I thought she was just eyeballing the bull through her scope when the gun roared. Caught me totally off guard. I looked at the bull and told her she missed as he stuck his head in the air let out a bugle. Then he took a couple back steps and rolled down the hill into a THICK stand of young aspens "DEAD". :IBCOOL:

awesome bulls guys
-
Daydreamn, I hope you have that black and white picture framed and in a prominent place in the house, because that is an awesome picture.
-
5 reasons why I'm grateful. Success from the last several years. All quality hunting experiences, all quality Roosevelt's by my standard, all served as my families source of healthy lean red meat. Why anyone would be opposed to this great tradition, I have no idea. Sorry for the pic quality...I hunt alone and never have a good camera.
-
Nice! When you going to start hunting mature bulls? :chuckle:
 I have to go wipe my chin.
-
Great Bulls Coastal.
-
you guys are putting realistic images into my daily daydreams.

This is a great thread. In looking at all these bulls its enought to get ya fired up about this coming elk season. Some dandy bulls on this thread. Nice work guys and thanks for posting.

Great roosies there Coastal. . . Taken during our seasons or the tribal seasons?
I do NOT want this thread to get off topic, simple question, simple answer, no other comments needed.

Awwww C'mon, we haven't been off topic in months! kidding...that's a valid question. Those were taken from the reservation during tribal seasons. I catch too much crap from my non tribal friends and family if I leave the reservation to hunt...unless I'm helping them fill a tag :chuckle: which I try to do every year...it helps me stay level headed and gives me an appreciation for the two uniquely different, but equally important hunting traditions.
Thanks for the comments.....now, MORE ELK PICS PLEASE!

Not a masher... But after completing a 15 mile full kit (approx 110 Lbs with vest, weapon, and ruck) military ruck in 2 hours and 50 min 2 days prior. Flying back from North Carolina and touching down at 10 the night prior....
Here is my wife's first bull.... Absolute horrible shot... She hit him before I stopped him and as you can see got him far, far back.... BUT, Thank god for being a good and motivated tracker. We left him for 6 hours, got the crew and found him 100 yards from where she shot bedded in a ravine.
I wasn't real motivated that day, but somehow still ended up about 5 miles in packing meat out.... Damn women..... :chuckle:
After her monster blackie, now the bull, well lets just say if you need to know anything about hunting.... Ask my wife, cause she WILL tell you all the ways your messing up, and provide the right info to get you back on track :chuckle:
Oh, and if your wondering... Charlie doesn't like maggot soaked heads... :bash: Being her first, we decided to put it on a plaque for her a bit late... :yike:Thanks god for a good taxi :chuckle:
