Everyone don't forget to submit you special permit numbers by Wednesday the 18th. I have been a rifle hunter for 19 years until last year, I started bow hunting. I was lucky enough to draw the multi-season tag so in theory I had a lot of opportunity to hunt. This year I was not drawn for the multi-season tag so I figured I would decide on my weapon after the special permit drawings. When I tried to purchase the applications, I found out I had to pick up my tags first which means I have to decide on a weapon. My dilemma is: the special permits I want are rifle, all of my friends and family rifle hunt but I really want to archery hunt. The best option so far is to apply ghost numbers until I get drawn for the multi-season again, archery hunt deer and rifle hunt elk. Anyone else run into the same problem, if so what other options did you come up with?

There is no reason you can't hunt archery with your rifle tag. That way you can still put in for the late rifle hunts and get in some archery hunting too. Of course, thats when you'll see multiple big bucks at about a hundred yards just standing there looking at you. But hey, thats bow hunting, and you said you wanted to archery hunt!
