Title: Phelps' Turkey Calls
Post by: JPhelps on May 16, 2011, 08:21:58 PM
Hey all I have been messing around with different turkey calls (woods and dimensions) and think I am getting close.  I have been messing with black walnut and glass/glass and slate/glass calls.  Also trying to figure out what striker combinations work best.

I'm curious to see if there is a market here for custom turkey calls (I can't be as free with wood types because the wood type has a huge effect on the sound).  Don't hold the sloppy glue against me.  Strictly testing the call for sound.  I would never send a call to a customer looking like that.
